Meet Paul Landis

Paul represents clients in a broad range of matters – from serious personal injury and wrongful death cases to complex business disputes. Since becoming a member of the South Carolina Bar in 2007, Paul has focused his practice on litigation matters, where his experience includes civil and criminal jury trials, non-jury trials, preliminary injunctions, dispositive motions, appeals, and alternative dispute resolution. Paul handles various cases in state and federal court throughout South Carolina.

In addition to obtaining tens of millions of dollars in jury verdicts and settlements for victims of accidents and malpractice, Paul has represented clients in jury trials, non-jury trials, and settlements involving disputes concerning businesses, contracts, real estate, professional liability, elder abuse/probate, financial fraud, insurance, construction defects, products liability, creditor/debtor rights (outside of bankruptcy), and complex commercial transactions. Furthermore, Paul has represented professionals in licensure proceedings and litigation matters. Paul has also defended individuals and businesses in various civil litigation.

Paul was recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in civil litigation from its inception in 2012 for nine consecutive years. In 2021, 2022, and 2023, he was recognized by Super Lawyers in the area of civil litigation. The Super Lawyers designation is reserved for no more than 5% of the lawyers practicing in South Carolina. He has been awarded by Greenville Business Magazine as Legal Elite of the Upstate in civil litigation and personal injury matters from 2015 through 2022. He has been recognized as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” by the National Trial Lawyers organization. Paul is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”), which is an invitation-only national association of experienced trial attorneys and judges.

Paul was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, and moved to South Carolina in 1999 to attend Furman University. He is married to Beth Landis of Enterprise, Alabama, and has three children, Mac, Elizabeth, and Sellers.

Outside of his law practice, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, being involved with his church, flying (private pilot), hunting, fishing, water skiing, playing golf, and watching Alabama football.
